Between lots of engagement celebrating, general work hetic-ness and being very much in need of a hol (one is coming, next month, in 18 days to be exact, not that I’m counting…) I feel like all of me needs a little bit of TLC at the minute, including my skin.
When I start to feel a bit worn out and run down this is one of the first places that I notice it – with dull, tired, blotchy and just generally not very happy skin. Which is where these two lovely products from This Works come in. The first is a serum which feels very smooth when you apply it but sinks right in and doesn’t leave any oily residue, one of my pet hates… and the second is a gorgeously rich but not too heavy night cream which I slather on top.
In terms of the scientific stuff the serum contains Vitamin C which is apparently super good for skin including any sun damage while the night cream has retinol and hyraluronic acid which helps with dehydration as well as fine lines and wrinkles. They’re what I would consider to be slightly on the expensive side but both last ages and they really do provide an intense moisture hit, just the kind of TLC I was looking for, now for the rest of me…
